Escaped dog found by passer-by after owner’s family fail their pet sit while pawrent was on vacation, rescuer says: ‘I'm so glad I stopped, sometimes ya know the dog runs away or gets aggressive and then you can't help, but it is always worth a try!’

You might have thought that leaving your dog with your family members while going on vacation would be a safe bet. But as this story goes, it seems that you can only count on them as far as you can throw them, thank goodness for caring canine rescuers.

It is true, canine care is not for everyone, and sure, you would not be mistaken to think that because you are leaving your dog child in the care of your family that there would be an extra element of care and attention. But that does not instantly make them responsible and dependable people. People will always be who they are and taking care of a doggo cannot change that unfortunately.

But what is fortunate in this story is that there was such a kind, generous and caring hooman who happened to be driving past the escaped doggo and stopped to help. Without her dedication to help this pupper there is no telling how far it could have gone, or whether it would have even survived its grand adventure outside. So we present you with this story as a reminder that you have to be truly careful over who you can trust and that there are true heroes out there, just living their normal, regular lives until their time to spring into action comes.

And that ladies and gentlemen is the definition of a hero. They are someone who despite the inconvenience, despite the odds being against them, will step up and do what they can to save the day. And universe willing, the fact that they stepped up will be the very thing that makes them save the day. Because with enough determination and dedication there is very little that cannot be achieved. This darling doggo was so lucky that this kind and caring woman happened to be passing by. Otherwise who knows how this story could have ended, dogs with no identifying apparel are hard to handle, let alone find their way back home.

Further proof of this woman’s heroism. A hero does not take on a mission because they know how it is all going to work out. They do so because they know that with their determination to help, they will be able to accomplish their goals. And while it might have seemed a little dim witted to ask such a question, it is obviously the right thing to have done in the situation such that a path forward would come to light. Sometimes being a hero is being able to accept your limitations and learn from them.
